INFORMATION[]

Tyrell Mathers was a South Side native who was sent to live with his father in Liberty City when he was 11 but returned to Los Santos to originally help the community he first grew up in. He joined the Davis Set of the Families street gang to help achieved that goal but was betrayed by the people he trusted most. Having to flee the South Side completely in order to save his life, he has started a new, more successful life in Paleto working at the Paleto Car Dealership, while earning the respect and support of the community there. However, deep inside he desires to more than a simple carsalesman and is always looking for ways to work his way back into the criminal underworld.

Becoming disillusion by the Federal Government within the State of San Andreas, he moved back to Liberty City in early July to stay with extended family, uncertain whether he'll return to the life he left behind in Los Santos.

HISTORY[]

Tyrell Mathers was born in South Side Los Santos in the early 70’s. Despite being the only child of a poor single mother, he still had a relatively happy childhood all things considered. His mother did her best to raise him right while working tirelessly to provide for him, but the decade of diminishing job opportunities on top of growing gang violence eventually forced her hand and at age eleven she sent him away to live with his father in Liberty City. Tyrell’s father was a successful businessman, working as a manager at a Vapid dealership, living in one of the nicer apartment buildings and school districts within Broker.

Tyrell would spend the next 12 years living and attending school in Liberty City. Living with a father that he hardly knew, in a city and culture mostly foreign to him, he continuously struggled to fit in. Unable to adapt to an upper middle-class upbringing, while never fully being accepted by his peers, Tyrell became frustrated with life. He became more cynical as he grew older and started acting out more, committing petty crimes for the thrill of it, which caused growing tension between him and his father. Despite all his teenage criminal activities, he narrowly avoided any juvenal record. When he graduated high school, he was amongst the top in his class, which earned him a scholarship to Vespucci University. Based on his father’s wishes, he joined the university’s school of business.

It was during his freshman year in college that the Los Santos Riots broke out. Watching on TV as his childhood community destroyed itself, all because of the LSPD’s growing corruption, infuriated him. The experience sparked within him a newfound interest in social justice and Tyrell would spend his remaining years in college redirecting his academic studies towards political science. Outside of school he became more involved in local politics, attending community meetings and participating in protests.

However, tragedy stuck Tyrell this past winter break as he received word that his mother had passed away. Furthermore, he also learned that she had recently defaulted on a refinance and that the bank was now trying to foreclose on the family home. Desperate, he pleaded with his father to help loan him the money to buy it, but he refused. Feeling betrayed, Tyrell decided to leave Liberty City behind for good.

He now returns to Los Santos to pay his final respects to his mother and to save the house she raised him in so many years ago. But his ambitions don’t stop there, as he has every intention of staying in the South Side as he works towards making a name for himself and doing whatever he can to help contribute and protect the community.

And if the cops don’t like that, well… They got a saying in Davis, and that saying is “FUCK THE LSPD”.
